The Abbeville Pentecostals

One God, Jesus Name, Pentecostals

Don't get side-tracked!

1 Sam 17:28 And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.

Here's a quick sketch of this message: David had a mission, to destroy the enemy and save a nation. While in the process of doing so, his own brother tried to start a fight with him. David quickly realized that if he fought with his brother they both would lose, the enemy would win and the nation of Isreal would be defeated. David refused to get side tracked, so he turned from fighting with his brother and conquered the enemy and saved the nation of Isreal. Soon his brother saw David's way brought victory and he joined with David.
We don't have time to get sidetracked by fighting with each other. We have a devil to defeat and a world to save.
This thought can be applied to both saints and to ministers.
